Other attractions for the Open Gardens:

- There will be representatives from, or displays of information by,
- the Butterfly Conservation Trust
- the Bee Conservation Trust,
- the British Trust for Ornithology
- the Cumbria Wildlife Trust.
- Information on composting and the equipment available from Cumbria County Council.
- In one garden there will be a raffle for the Motor Neurone Disease Association - the prize being a print by local wildlife artist Fiona Clucas. In another, rainbow vegetable are being grown.
- There will be the opportunity to make a painted butterfly brooch.
- There will be some seed-tray gardens made by the children at Levens School.
- And last but not least there will be a children's trail - where every participating child will receive a packet of easy-grow seeds.
