New parish council notice board erected

Quick facts

  • The new notice board cost £2000 and is made primarily of aluminium

  • A plaque to commemorate the Coronation of King Charles III features

“Many residents may already have noticed that the old parish council noticeboard which served the community well over many years has been replaced by a new aluminium version. Unfortunately, the old wooden board finally succumbed to rot and repair was not cost effective. The new boards is of a type popular with parish councils and magnets are used to fix notices to the steel backing sheet. A plaque to commemorate the coronation of King Charles III will be fixed to the base of the board.

Purchase of the new board was made possible by a generous grant from ex-ClIr. Jim Bland on behalf of the old Cumbria County Council and the Parish Council is most grateful for this support.”
