Received today Monday 5th January, notice of a public consultation by Alderley Homes, Warrington to be held on Tuesday 13th January in the lower rooms of Levens Village Hall (The Institute) 09.30-20.00hrs. In regards to a site to the East of Greengate and south of Meadow Wood.
Westmorland and Furness Council have listed this area as a potential development site in consideration with 4 other areas within Levens for their forthcoming new local plan.

Alderley Homes are seeking to develop land off Greengate, Levens, Kendal, LA8 8EY for approximately 54 dwellings with access off Greengate, associated road infrastructure, open space and landscaping (Outline of site enclosed).
Currently, the sketch layout shows the following mix of homes.
15 - 4 bed Detached.
20 - 3 bed Detached.
9 - 2 bed Semi-detached / Mews.
10 - 3 bed Semi-detached.
Alderley Homes are holding a public consultation event on Tuesday 13th January 2026 from 9:30am – 8pm for those interested to view initial proposals that are currently being formulated. The event will be held at Levens Village Hall (formerly known as Levens Institute) Lower Room Lowgate Levens, LA8 8NL
The event will provide an opportunity to speak to a member of the Alderley Team and outline your comments (support, neutral or objecting) in writing either on the day or by following up in an email ([email protected]) or by letter to the address listed below.
PLEASE NOTE: The applicant Alderley is engaging with the wider community, prior to a formal planning application being submitted to Westmorland & Furness Council.
