Notice of Levens Annual Parish Meeting to take place on 19th May 2026

In accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Act 1972, Levens Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Tuesday 19th May 2026 at 7:30pm in Levens Village Hall (The Institute)

Agenda items will include

  • Minutes of the 2025 Annual Parish Meeting

  • Chairman’s report

  • Financial report 2024-25 and 2025-26 and Budget for 2026-27

  • Public forum - comments and questions from residents on village matters


An additional note from the Parish Council

It is a legal requirement for Parishes to hold an Annual Parish Meeting open to all Parishioners and whilst it is not a meeting of the Parish Council, it traditionally accepts the role of organising this event.

Levens Annual Parish Meeting will be held at The Village Hall next Tuesday 19th May 7.30pm.

Delayed from its usual March date to May this year while so many developments and plans have been happening in the village.

The Chairman of the Parish Council will introduce reports on Parish Council activities during 2025-26 and invite representatives of village organisations to give updates on their local activities including Levens Emergency Action Plan (LEAP).

Cllr. Janet Battye will provide a report on the activities and services provided by Westmorland and Furness Council.
