Increase in dog fouling throughout the village

Despite signs and new bins all around Levens we are receiving more and more complaints of dog mess.

There is no excuse. It can be dangerous to children, cause miscarriage and suffering to livestock and is generally antisocial.

Please use the form in the link below to report and request the removal of dog mess on footpaths, grass verges and public open spaces.

SLDC can issue an initial fixed penalty of £75 to someone who fails to clean up after their dog. Persistent offenders can be taken to court and face a fine of up to £1,000.
