Levens B4RN broadband - How to get a connection?

Picture
2) bring a spade (or speak nicely to your neighbours and local B4RN project volunteers)
  1. Check your property is eligible
Chances are if you live in Levens Parish, you'll be able to get connected. To check and sign-up simply visit B4RN's 'Get B4RN' page.

  2. Prepare your property
It is the task of the homeowner to extend the ducting from the 'TOBY' box installed near the threshold of the property (typically in the pavement or verge) and into their home, terminating it at the property using a house kit. The homeowner can do this themselves with advice from the local volunteer coordinator, or they can employ a local contractor to do this task (or parts thereof) on their behalf. See our FAQs and resources page for details.

  3. Get the fibre blown to your property
Once the connection from the 'TOBY box into your property is complete the fibre can be blown from your local chamber into your home.

  4. Get online
The router can then be connected to your wall socket and you can enjoy your gigabit B4RN connection

  5. Claim the 'dig grant'
To cover your costs of connecting from the TOBY box to your house, and so long as an eligible voucher was registered, B4RN will pay you a one-off grant payment of £150 for completing the work once the connection goes live.

  6. Please donate what you can
Without the support of Levens Charity, B4RN would still be a distant prospect to the village. We kindly ask that as a token of your thanks for the time and effort put in by our volunteers, you make a donation to Levens Charity to benefit Levens community.
