Levens Parent and Toddler Group has been happily running for many years on the lower level of the Levens Institute. We welcome parents, guardians and childminders with children between 0-4 years of age to come and join us every Wednesday (during term time), from 9.30 until 11.30am.

During every session we have a simple craft activity and lots of free play with the toys from our well stocked cupboard. We also provide healthy snacks and drinks for the children and tea and coffee for their carers. We try to have an outing once a term, typically to a soft play area, or to a local park. We also have occasional story telling visits from The Milnthorpe Children's Centre which are really popular.

The playgroup is run by two mothers at the moment, but everyone who comes has an input into the group. There is a rota for providing snacks and craft sessions, and we are always open to new ideas for the group.

We are very lucky to have voluntary help from the local Parish. The ladies have set up a rota, and every week, someone cheerfully comes and sets out the snacks and drinks and makes the tea and coffee for the adults. They are not just a great help, but add to the spirit of the group too.

We charge a small fee to cover the cost of room hire, annual insurance and to help towards group outings.

Costs:

Adult and under one year old  £1.00

Adult and over one year old     £1.50

50p extra for any additional child over one or additional adult.
