Levens Village Plan Committee
Minimize

The Village Plan was produced in 2008 with the sole purpose of discovering and acurately recording the wishes of those who lived within the Parish of Levens to identify areas for action that could then be passed onto Parish, District or County Council.  Not all 'actions' can be acheived immediately, some may take several years to come to fruition, some may only happen in the future and some may be unobtainable.   However, it is very constructive to have a record of the wishes of those who live in Levens Parish at this time.

It is hoped this plan will make a major contribution towards the sensible and managable provision of facilities and future developments in Levens Parish.

It was agreed by the VP Steering Committee and the Parish Council that the Levens Village Plan would be most workable if the Parish Council were to take ownership of the document on behalf of Levens Parish.   They have the authority to oversee the Action Plan and can determine the most beneficial ways to move forward to working in partnership with other groups and organisations and engaging the support of the local community over the coming years.

The Parish Council have established a sub-committee 'The Village Plan Progress Committee' to monitor and review the Action Plan.
